State Fund for the Rehabilitation of Persons with Disabilities (PFRON) Assistantship – 2024/25 edition

“Personal assistance as a chance for independent life for people with disabilities 2.0”

The main objective of the project is to enable people with disabilities with a significant or moderate degree of disability, including children up to 18 years of age with a disability certificate, including the following indications:

  • the need for constant or long-term care or assistance from another person due to a significantly limited possibility of independent existence,
  • the need for constant daily participation of the child’s guardian in the process of their treatment, education and rehabilitation,
  • resides in the Polkowice, Lubin, Głogów, Środa and Świdnica districts,
  • to function actively in their living environment, meet their own needs and participate in the life of the local community by providing personal assistance services for people with disabilities.

Project implementation date:

The project will be implemented between April 1, 2024 to March 31, 2025.

Assistant support:

The support of a personal assistant for a person with a disability mainly includes assistance to a disabled person, among others, in:

  • leaving, returning or commuting to a place chosen by the disabled person (e.g. home, work, educational and school facilities, health and rehabilitation facilities, medical and therapeutic offices, offices, family, friends, financial institutions, cultural, entertainment, social, sports events, temples);
  • shopping, dealing with official matters;
  • cooperation or establishing contact with various types of organizations;
  • using cultural assets (e.g. museums, theatre, cinema);
  • performing everyday activities.

The Program Participant does not pay for personal assistance services.

Who is it for:

The assistance project can be used by people with disabilities:

  • residing in the following counties: Polkowice, Lubin, Głogów, Środa Śląska and Świdnica;
  • having a certificate of moderate or significant degree of disability;
  • children up to 18 years of age with a certificate of disability, including indications of the need for permanent or long-term care or assistance from another person due to the significantly limited possibility of independent existence and the need for permanent daily participation of the child’s guardian in the process of his/her treatment, education and rehabilitation.
