Project „Assistance – I can do it too”

The Skorpion Polkowice Association invites you to participate in the project “Assistance – I can do it too”, co-financed by the European Social Fund Plus under the European Funds for Lower Silesia 2021-2027 Program.

Goals

The main objective of the project is to increase the independence and social activity of at least 40 People with disabilities (children and adults with a disability degree certificate or an equivalent document) by providing services supporting independent living in the form of personal assistance. An additional objective will be to develop the knowledge and practical skills of 60 assistants and 20 actual carers through participation in training in the field of supporting the process of integration of people with disabilities in the immediate environment and local community, increasing their independence, self-reliance and social activity.

Tasks

The Project’s objectives are implemented through:

  1. Assistance services for people with disabilities; Recruitment completed
  2. “Staff Academy – professional and effective” – ​​training for Assistants to People with Disabilities;
  3. “Parents Academy – towards independent life” – counselling and lectures for parents and caregivers of people with disabilities.
  4. Expert support for staff providing assistance services (mentoring and supervision).

Target groups

The project is intended for:

  • people living in the following counties: Polkowice, Głogów, Świdnica, Środa, Dzierżoniów and Wrocław – city of Wrocław (Lower Silesian Voivodeship),
  • people with disabilities (min. 40 people), people who want to improve their qualifications by participating in trainings for Assistants to people with disabilities (60 people),
  • parents and guardians of actual people with disabilities (min. 40 people),
  • staff providing assistance services in the project.
